12 Days of hiking – Day 6 – Elephant Rocks!

It was a beautiful day at Elephant Rocks. The sun was shining and the trees were beautiful.

Elephant Rocks has two hiking trails. The main trail which loops around the park is called Braille Trail, it is a one mile trail and it takes 30 minutes to an hour to complete. From the top you can see the entire 7.5 acre area and the views are stunning. There is also a shorter trail called Engine House Ruins Trail which is .40 miles that takes you to the ruins of the old engine house.

Elephant Rocks is located at 7406 Highway 21 in Belleview. This is a great day trip to visit along with Johnson’s Shut-Ins when traveling from Farmington.

I hope you enjoy the photos and beautiful fall foliage from Elephant Rocks…
