12 Days of Hiking – Day 12 – St. Joe State Park
It was a great day at St. Joe State Park, but one day is not nearly enough.
St. Joe has over 30 miles of trails for hiking. The Hickory Ridge Trail is a 4 mile loop that takes approximately 3 hours to complete. The Lakeview Trail is a 1.25 mile loop that takes approximately 40 minutes to an hour. The paved bicycle trail is an 11 mile loop which can also be hiked, and takes approximately 6 hours to complete, and the Pine Ridge Trail is a 12.6 mile loop that takes nearly 10 hours to complete.
St. Joe is home to one of Missouri’s largest off-road vehicle parks in Missouri and offers acres of sand flats and hills for off-roaders to enjoy. The park also offers fishing, swimming, camping, horse-back riding, kayaking, canoeing, bicycling, a shooting range, the Missouri Mines State Historic Site more.
St. Joe State Park is located just outside of Farmington off Pimville Road. There is something for everyone at this beautiful park.
