Fourteen parks line the streets of the community offering walking trails, fishing, playgrounds, baseball and soccer fields, tennis, pickleball, volleyball and basketball courts, skateboarding, picnicking, barbequing, and beautiful open space.
Active residents have access to the modern Farmington Community Civic Center, which houses multi-use courts for a variety of sports, 1/8-mile track, state-of-the-art fitness facility, aerobics room, six-lane pool, leisure pool, mini indoor water park and a number of activities and programs.
State Parks
Farmington is conveniently located close to Missouri’s most picturesque state parks where you can take a casual stroll, a challenging hike, a grueling mountain bike excursion, or a day of riding in the region’s most popular ATV park. Whether you are seeking a peaceful walk through the woods, a challenging trek in the Ozark Mountains, or an off-road adventure, you will discover it just outside Farmington.

Golfing
Crown Pointe Golf Club, rated 4 stars by Golf Digest Magazine, boasts one of the most beautiful golf courses in Missouri. Nestled in the rolling hill countryside of Farmington, the course melds gently rolling terrain, a variety of water hazards, and over forty bunkers. Disc Golf
In a joint effort between Gateway Disc Sports and the City of Farmington, an 18 hole par 62 disc golf course was developed in Engler Park. The course features a shorter technical front nine with a nice par, four on hole nine with the lake coming into play on the drive and again by the basket. The back nine is a much longer and more challenging course that will rival any nine holes in the state. The tourney layout features an island green and some very tough shots; especially from the long tees.
Water Park
Whether you’re in the mood for a ride down one of the thrilling slides, floating on the lazy river, or splashing around in the interactive playground, the Farmington Water Park is a place to spend your summer days! Birthday parties are welcomed. Private rentals are offered. Group rates and season passes are available. Open Memorial Day-Labor Day.
Night Golf
Don’t end your round when the sun goes down—Tee it up for a good time at Pallo’s Par 3 Golf Course. With state-of-the-art lighting which fills the night sky, Pallo’s brings a new aspect to the game of golf.
Skate Park
Enjoy the largest outdoor concrete Skate Park in Southeast Missouri featuring 30,000 square feet of challenging twists and turns for both beginning and advanced skaters. The facility welcomes inline-skates, skateboards, and BMX bikes, and is equipped with rails, ramps and obstacles. The Skate Park is FREE of charge and open to the public. Located at Long Park in Downtown Farmington.
Dog Park
Enjoy the Day with your pooch at the Farmington Dog Park! The park features plenty of room for both large and small dogs. The small dog area is 12,500 square feet and the larger dog area is 25,000 square feet. The park also offers a “no man’s land” area in between to prevent any dogs from becoming aggressive at the fence line.
ATV / Off-roading
The roar of engines breaks the stillness of the Old Lead Belt at St. Joe State Park. St Joe is one of only two off-road vehicle parks in the state park system! The many trails set aside for off-road vehicle use make the park a premiere off-road vehicle area.
Biking
Experience a wide variety of trails and terrain while biking in and around Farmington. The local terrain varies with natural surface, rocky portions, level areas, steep inclines, and paved biking trails which makes the area very popular for bikers of all kinds.
Horseback Riding
Whether you’re an individual looking for a place to bring your horses and explore the many forested trails or part of a horse group or organization that would like to meet up and camp equine style, you will find that Farmington Missouri is the place to bring your trusty steed. Trails are available at several locations including St. Joe State Park, St. Francois State Park, Sam A. Baker State Park, and Johnson’s Shut-Ins State Park.
River Activities
Farmington is conveniently located close to Missouri’s most beautiful rivers where you can experience whitewater kayak races or spend a relaxing day floating through the many timbered ridges and cool hollows that Missouri has to offer.
