There is a new visitor center in downtown Farmington and you are invited to the ribbon cutting!

Be sure to join us on Tuesday, August 13th at 1:00 p.m. at 11 North Franklin street to have refreshments and check out the new Historic Jail Museum and Visitor Center.

The Al’s Place Bicycle Hostel is located in the upstairs portion of the old St. Francois County Jail and the downstairs is now home to the new museum and visitor’s center.

In 1996 the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places and is part of the Courthouse Square Historic District.

Be sure to stop by for the ribbon cutting and learn more about the history of Farmington and all the great things to see and do in the area.
