If you’re looking for a great winter hike, be sure to head to Hickory Canyons near Farmington. Hickory Canyons is beautiful year around, but when the temperature is cold, and the waterfall is frozen over the canyon – it is a spectacular view.

Hickory Canyons is located approximately 10 miles from Farmington. From Farmington head east on Highway 32 to Highway C then head North (turn left) about three miles and turn left again on to Sprott Road. Head west on Sprott Road for about 1.75 miles to the parking lot. There you will find two hiking trails. The Allen Brohn Trail is a one mile loop trail on the north side of Sprott Road, but the wet weather waterfall is on the south side of Sprott Road and is just a short half-mile trail.
