12 days of Hiking – Day 10 – Castor River Shut-Ins
The Castor River Shut-Ins, located in the Amidon Memorial Conservation Area, are absolutely amazing. This is Missouri’s only pink granite shut-ins. The rushing water of the Castor River over the pink rock is a stunning view. The Cedar Glade Trail is just a short hike to the shut-ins, but there are other trails to check out in the area.
Other than hiking the Castor River Shut-Ins has swimming and fishing, as well.
The Castor River Shut-Ins are 27 miles from Farmington, located near Fredericktown, Missouri.
